Audi Repair: Audi A3 2.0 FSI, coolant temperature sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor

QUESTION: A few weeks ago I notice the Coolant warning flash up on the Driver information. I stopped the car and check the level it seemed fine. I never thought any more of it until to day when the same thing happened. The warning only flashed 2 or 3 time then disappeared. Is there any known faults with the coolant on A3's? What could this problem be?

QUESTION: Thnak you for this prompt responce. How do i check the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor? Do i have to put the car into a repair centre?

Sorry for the delay I was in West Virginia with no email possibilities.  Anyway the Engine Temperature Coolant sensor is normally close to the thermostat on the side of the engine.  It is not a difficult replacement but tricky to get to.  Let me know how you get on,  Jan
