Audi Repair: Audi A3 97 exhaust, audi a3, different reasons

hi, my exhaust has sounded like its blowing, and also sometime feels like theres no power when i accelarate but only when the engine is warm, so i took it to a nationwide garage and they said the whole exhaust needs replacing and its misfiring and backfiring but i had to get the misfire done before they could do anything so i took it to another garage who said i wouldnt need to replace the exhaust and replaced the engine coil but a couple of days later still the same problem can you help as no one seems to know the problem.

It sounds like you have more than one problem.  Get the exhaust fixed first since that can give all kinds of other symptoms.  Once the exhaust is tight, get the misfire issue taken care off.  Could be a number of different reasons.  Might be an idea to get the codes read out.  Let me know,  Jan
