Audi Repair: engine sludge, oil sludge, water coolant

Question
Hey Greg:
I just had my car serviced for sludge and a few miles down the road, my A/C goes off and my coolant light comes on.  Consquently I pull over and the engine is overheating.  My question is, when they do the sludge repair, do they need to disconnect anything with the engine water/coolant? Are these two related in any way?And finally, could this have done damage to my engine? Thanks-

Answer
hello
Sounds like you have A4.
make sure you start to use syntetic oil only,
They did not have to disconnect any coolane hoses, make sure coolant level is OK.
With oil sludge problems, dealer  checked all your bearing in cyliner head, if they were OK they only replace hoses and sometimes oil pump. Slude kills oil pump and all bearings and sometimes whole engine, this will not effect your cooling system. Sounds like there is a second problem and this also can make lots of damaged.
