Question
i just got the car and it did not have a radio.it has 2 wire plugs for the radio.do you know or where to find a wiring diagram for the radio? thanks.

Answer
Hello,

If you go with a factory stereo. all you need to do is install the plugs.

If you go after market, you will need for a nice installation a mounting kit and a wiring kit. The wiring kit comes with the antenna adapter that you need and the wiring harness. The wiring harness plugs into the factory connector plugs and you do your wiring from the other side of the connector. A diagram is on the kit and this way you get a professional installation instead of hacking up the factory wiring.

Another advantage doing this is, if you end up with a wiring problem in the radio circuit in the future future its easier to diagnose.

These stereo kits are available everywhere. Even Walmart carries them in the car section.

I do not know anyone that carries wiring schematics for a car this old.

Use the aftermarket kit, it is the best way to go and if you don't have the antenna adapter, you are not going to have an antenna.
