Cadillac Repair: AC went out, tranny got sluggish all at once, word history, climate control

QUESTION: Hi there, can someone please help me, I have an 1991 cad. Deville, it has the 4.9 engine AT with overdrive, awhile back I got the check engine light and the AC went out, also the transmission got sluggish taking off from a stop, I have to manually downshift to get going and once is going I does really well with no problem, so I have the check engine light, AC don't work and the tranny is sluggish, what can I do to solve the problem?

ANSWER: You have to retrieve the CODES from the computers that is causing the check engine light to illuminate.

1. Turn ignition key ON. Do NOT start engine.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. On your fuel data panel you will see LETTERS & NUMBERS appearing and as each LETTERS & NUMBERS appear you will see the word HISTORY or CURRENT appear.

4. The display will stop and display .7.0.

5. Write down the items in step 3 and then turn OFF the ignition switch.

QUESTION: Hi there, sorry it took me so long to get the rest of the info you requested, I kept looking at the wrong area! :) But here it is, it reads like this:

I also forgot to mention that I replaced the PS switch before I asked for you help,but problem still there, thank you

ANSWER: OK, CLEAR (erase the codes from the computer via this way.

1. Turn ignition key ON. Do NOT start engine.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. On your fuel data panel you will see LETTERS & NUMBERS appearing and as each LETTERS & NUMBERS appear you will see the word HISTORY or CURRENT appear.

4. The display will stop and display .7.0.

5. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until you see E.0.0 and then release the buttons.

6. Turn OFF ignition.

7. Wait 15 seconds and restrt engine and see if check engine light comes back ON.

QUESTION: Light came back a few hours later, but the other problems (AC not working, Sluggish AT) never went away.
