Cadillac Repair: a/c in my 1997 caddy deville, inlet temp, problem id

Question
i had alot of work done on the a/c and when they tried it it says it was blowing the code:DTC B1314 Evaporator Inlet Temp Sensor Open CKT:
they also told me they could not clear this code.

my question to you is is there a way to clear this code?
and if this code is not cleared will it work still??


Answer
To clear the code:

1. Ignition key ON. Engine OFF.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and release the buttons.

3. After the code B1314 appears the display will stop at PCM?

4. Push and release the low button and you will see IPC?. Push and release the lo button again and you will see ACM?

5. Pusha nd release the HI button and release it and you will see DATA.

6. Push and release the LO button 4 times and you will see CLEAR CODES

7. Push and release the HI button and you will see CODES CLEAR.

This will CLEAR the B1314 code.


If the code returns your problem id the sensor and or the ACM (AC/HEATER programmer.
