Cadillac Repair: 87 caddilac with 4.5 engine, cadillac sedan deville, oxygen sensor

Question
QUESTION: I just replaced a 4.5 engine in my Cadillac sedan deville. I started the engine and it wouldn't idle down correctly. I ran the trouble codes and get code E55. I replaced the oxygen sensor and all but the car will not start at all anymore. My mechanic starts it by removing one of the fuel injectors b/c he says that too much gas is going to the carburetor causing the car not to start. Please advise what I should check next. Is it the ECM?

ANSWER: YES, It is the ECM.

QUESTION: Should i not worry about the timing because it acts as if it wants to crank but doesn't? Will the ECM automatically set the timing?
ANSWER: YES. As long as you have not touched the timing.

QUESTION: I replaced the ECM and haven't touch the timing at all. The car sounds like it wants to start but never catch to crank. It's getting gas in the carburetor. I cleared the codes ran it again and got no errors other than f10. I tried cranking it again and the car would not start. I ran codes again and got e15 and e55 all over again. Please help!

Answer
E15 = Faulty coolant sensor which has 2 wires attached to it which are BLACK and YELLOW and it is located just in front of the throttle body.

E55 = TPS misadjusted.

Replace the COOLANT SENSOR and replace the spark plugs, Clear the codes and see what codes re-appear.
