Cadillac Repair: 92 Eldorado, climate control, refrigerant

Question
Have "low refrigerant" on display. Can't get compressor to turn on even in defrost mode yet I have put refrigerant in. Heard ya need to erase the "low refrigerant code". How do ya do that?   thanx, Jim

Answer
Let me know what codes you get EXACTLY as if you were video-taping the display and I need to know if they are CURRENT or HISTORY codes BEFORE you erase them.

1. Ignition ON.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and then release the buttons.

3. Diagnostic codes E or B codes will appear and the display will stop at ECM? To clear the E codes proceed to the next procedure being 4. If you get B codes go to 7.

4. Push and release the HI button and yu will see ECM DATA?

5. Continue to press and release the LO button until you see ECM CLEAR CODES?

6. Push and release the HI button and you will see ECM CODES CLEAR?  Wait 3 seconds for the codes to clear and then turn off the ignition.
