Hello, I have a 1990 cadillac seville 4.5checked the codes got E048 E049 E052 E098 B122 and R025. Then I reset the codes, drove around for awhile, and checked them again now the codes read E052 E098 B122 B552 and R025. The car runs rough during idle and turns off at low speeds. I can't figure out the problem.

Answer -
E052 =  ECM memory reset indicator.
E098 = High RPM Park/Neutral to drive/reverse shift under isc control.
B122 = BCM memory reset indicator.
B552 = BCM memory reset indicator.
R025 = Short to battery in steering column.

1. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.
2. Enter into diagnostics and CLEAR all the codes again.
3. Turn ignition OFF.
4. Wait 5 minutes.
5. Ignition ON, Engine OFF.
6. Enter into diagnostics and see what codes reappear.

Do NOT start the engine and or drive the vehicle.

After you complete step # 6 tell me what codes you have.

The codes are now E052 B552 and R025

Answer
Are you disconnecting the battery when trying to clear the codes or pulling any fuses ?. If YES, This is why codes E052 and B552 are appearing.
