Cadillac Repair: air conditioning, cadillac seville, blown fuse

1987 cadillac seville V8

AC not working.  Check AC light on.  Full charge of refrigerant in system.  Tried to reset by disconnecting battery.  When system turned on for AC, light is off for approx. 45 seconds and then comes on again.  Compressor does not run.  Fan for AC comes on.

Are you getting a CHECK ENGINE light also ?.

Could be a fault with the:

A/C compressor clutch relay.

Blown fuse.

Low refrigerant switch.

Open wire circuit.
