Question -
i replaced my two fans on 1997 cadillac seville sts check engine light is on i go into self dignostics and erase code 1603 cooling fan history what do i do know

Answer -
Check the cooling fan relay. replaced all three

Answer
Restart the engine and watch the engine temp as the fans will not come on until engine temp reachse between 220 and 240 degrees.

If the engine temp gets above 240 see if the check engine light illuminates and check for fault codes and let me know if you get any codes and what they are.

We only have 2 other possibilities which are:

the PCM computer and or loss of battery voltage to the relay(s).
