Cadillac Repair: Engind starts and stalls immediately, fuel pump relay, northstar engine

Question
I have a 1996 Deville with the northstar engine. When it gets down around zero degrees the engine will start and then shuts down after 2-3 seconds of running. This is the second year in a row for this. Gets up towards 20 degrees and it runs perfectly. What would cause this?
Thanks for any help you can offer,
Gary

Answer
Temperature sensitive fuel pump, fuel pump relay, Ignition module, ECM/PCM or any number of sensors/relays.

Does it make any difference if the fuel tank is FULL of gas when it won't start ?. have you tried it ?.

Try some dry gas in the fuel tank to absorb any moisture that may be in the fuel tank or the fuel lines.

When it does NOT start are you getting ignition to the spark plugs as you attempt to start it ?.

Let me know on the ignition possibility and depending upon your answer we may move onto the fuel pump circuit.

Let me know.
