Chevrolet Repair: fuel line connections, nylon lines, oem line

Question
i have a 99 silverado with a 4,3 v-6 engine trying to find replacement evap line that goes from the fuel pump then splits and goes to tank and then to charcoal cannister.  the dealer says they cant get it, i cant find aftermarket.  i still have most of the line the connection to the fuel pump was ruined when the fuel pump went bad. what can i do any ideas

Answer
JAY,AT MY SHOP IF WE CAN NOT FIND THE CORRECT OEM LINE WE MAKE OUR OWN OUT OF NYLON OR FUEL RUBBER LINE..THERE IS NO PRESSURE HERE TO WORRY ABOUT..JUST MAKE SURE IT IS A TRUE TIGHT SEAL SO YOU WILL NOT GET A EVAP CODE FROM PCM..THESE NYLON LINES AND SPECIAL FITTING ARE SOLD ALL AT OUR LOCAL PART STORES..THE DEALER CAN GET IT BUT, THEY ARE NOT LOOKING IN THE CORRECT AREA'S..HOWEVER IF THEY DO LOCATE THIS LINE YOU WILL NOT WANT TO PAY FOR IT..BIG $$$$ BECAUSE THEY WILL MORE THEN LIKELY MAKE YOU PAY FOR MORE LINE THEN IS NEEDED. HOPE THIS HELPS, TOM.
