Chevrolet Repair: 96 C1500 error codes, mass air flow, vacuum leaks

Hi Wayne,
I have a 96 c1500 5.7 Vortec that has started idling rough. It has 213,000 miles on it and is giving me 4 error codes. P0102, P0172, P0175, and P0300. I know all of the possibilities, but where would YOU start??

Hey,

Remove and clean mass air flow.  Check for vacuum leaks.  Check condition of plugs and ignition components including checking for fuzzy coil tower and moisture in cap.  Clear codes and road test.  If MAFF code comes back replace MAFF, clear codes and road test.  Its probably the MAFF miscalculating airflow and screwing up injector pulse width.  The P0300 may be when it goes so lean it can't stabilize the firing order.
