Chevrolet Repair: s10 blazer light problems, s10 blazer, prndl

Question
Hello I have a 1991 s10 blazer. Whenever I put it into reverse the backup lights
just blink once, then goes off. Do you know how to fix that problem? Is it a
wiring issue?

Hey,

 Your prndl switch is out of adjustment.  Its on the drivers side of the transmission and has bolts that can be loosened to adjust.  Put the emergency brake on, (have someone else sit in the vehicle to be safe) turn the key on (not running) put vehicle in reverse.  Loosen bolts and rotate switch a bit (small adjustments) until reverse lights illuminate and then tighten switch.  If vehicle fails to start but reverse lights work you need a new switch.
