Chevrolet Repair: 5.7l engine miss, chevy k1500, secondary ignition

Question
i bought a 1993 chevy k1500 ext cab 4x4 pick up. i was told that the engine was rebuilt, this i don't know for sure, but i can verify that the head , valve cover, and intake gaskets were replaced..my problem is the engine has a miss that i cant figure out. i have replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, computer, fuel filter.
This miss is consistent in park or under a load. it also eats a lot of gas i drove approx. 200 miles and used 70.00 in gas. the engine does'nt smoke or make any noises. any idea what could be the problem. thanx

Answer
You really should have the engine put on a scope to diagnose the secondary ignition. If all the parts were installed correctly check the engine compression.

Make sure plug wires are not crossed or mis-routed.

Pull out the spark plugs and compare. If one looks different than the others it could narrow down the cylinder that is effected.
