Chevrolet Repair: Vacume Lines, gearhead, junk yard

I just swaped out a bad 3.8 ltr motor for the same in my 97 camaro.........and I screwed up and cant find were a couple of vacume lines go and cant find the vacume canister.....can you tell me were I can find a vacume line diagram on line..........

Hi Bruce,

OOPS!  It is too late for this now, but I actually take pictures of this stuff before I rip it out.  

You have a couple of options.  One is possibly you can find a simple one under your hood.  Another is the local library.  They have the big repair manuals with the schematics and vac diagrams in the back.  You can also try to get the dealship parts counter person to bring one up on their computer, and print it off for you.  The best option is to visit a junk yard that has a similar one in the back.  

A great website is camaroz28.com.  Look up the type of car you have (4th gen) and ask a question there.  These people are Camaro 'gearhead' nuts.  I have used that site for my own Camaro from time to time.  They may be a little sarcastic, but it is worth the 'ribbing' to get their knowledge.  They will tell you where else to go, if they can't help.
