Chevrolet Repair: parts for a 1997 chevy astro van, chevy astro van, chevy astro

Hi James,
           I just bought a 1997 Chevy Astro van that needs some repair. I wanted to try to find a parts van for sale to save some money when fixing the one I just bought. Would only a 1997 van for parts work , or are there any other years of that van that would have the same parts to fit? Thanks and waiting to hear from you

If there are a mixture of years in parts, the only people who would know is the dealer, the parts store or a junkyard. I can't think of any cross referencing of year to year in parts.
I know this is'nt what you wanted to hear, but I've had to go down that road before.
