Chevrolet Repair: A/C and heater, chevy camaro, vacuum line

Question
Hi there.  I have a 1993 Chevy Camaro, V-6 3.4L, manual trans.  My problem is this.  My A/C blows very cold air, and my heater blows hot air.  But, they will not blow out the vents towards the passengers.  They only blow to the floor or to the windshield, regardless of what setting.  I have not had any recent repairs done, not fooled around with anything close to the a/c or heater.  I have checked all the fuses I know to check.  I need some advice of where to look.  Thanks so much

Answer
What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a vacuum line may have been knocked loose or a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed.

In most cases such as this the vacuum line from the engine that goes thru the firewall is either disconnected or broken. It is usually a small plastic tube abouth the size of one of those red plastic coffee stirrers that you get when you buy a cup of coffee at a fast food restraunt.

This small tube may be hidden in the wiring harness that also goes thru the firewall so LOOK CLOSE.
