Chevrolet Repair: engine and tranny removal, gm car, donor car

Question
Hi Mark,
I know you're listed as a Chev. man but you helped me on my last problem so I'd like to stick with you. I need to pull the engine (3.1) and tranny from a 90 Grand Prix (donor car). What's the easiest way? The rest of the car will be junked. Out the top or bottom? Thanks in advance Pete

Answer
Hi Pete, Well this is a GM car not a FORD. Out the top is the way to go. The hardest bolt is the rear trans bolt but you can get this through the right front when the wheel is off. The engine will come up and out with no problem.

Have a Great Day     Mark
