Chevrolet Repair: s10 blazer instruments flicker, s10 blazer, loose wire

98 s10 blazer- my headlights and instrumewnt lights flicker while driving. yesterday i went to start it and the instruments went crazy for a minute and the car died. started it again and everything was fine however the flickering of the lights and instruments is still happening. i have replaced the battery and had the alternator checked. i also checked the grounds on each side of the firewall. i hope you can give me an answer to this annoying problem

Sounds like a loose wire connection to me.
There should be a fusible link for the lights, and I would suspect either that is loose, or a wire on the light switch. Could also be the light switch itself. Does wiggling the switch lever make any difference?
