Chevrolet Repair: 99 Suburban Interior Door Handle, window switches, screw driver

Hi  Mark,

My driver side interior door handle is not working. It is hanging loosely. (The outside handle works fine). How do I go about repairing or replacing it? How do I get the door panel off, to isolate the handle?

Hello Jon, The first thing you need to remove is the bezel around the handle. Using a screw driver pry between the bezel and handle to pop the bezel out. Now remove the panel for the power window switches, pry up on the part that is on the outside, near your leg when setting on the seat. Remove the 2 screws at the pull handle. Remove the door lock bezel by prying out. Now pry out on the door panel to release the door panel . The handle is retained by a rivet, remove the rivet and slide the handle to remove.
