Chevrolet Repair: 1988 Chevy S-10 gauge problems, oil pressure gauge, resistance in wire

Question
I have a 1988 chevy S-10 and the gauges are completely messes up. I have no gas gauge what so ever. I have an oil pressure gauge that is constantly at the top unless i am at a stop when it moves up and down. I have a voltometer that reads low and high no matter what, it moves freely. And a engine heat gauge that reads high though the engine is never hot. I dont know if it is a ground problem or if i can fix it. I dont know if there is someway to remove the dash and see what it is. If there are any suggestions to any alternative problem that may be causing it that would be great.  But everything is fine it has been checked. But the gauges read that it isnt. So if there is a possibility that i can recieve a step by step guide on how to fix it that would be wonderful. Thanks for you time.........

Answer
Hello Kalin,
If you have a public library close, go to the refference section, and they have shop manuals, Mitchell, Chilton, and Motors manuals. Most of them will show how to get it out. I am looking at a Mitchell manual now and it shows it pretty well. It is in the section immediately following the wiring diagrams.
There is also the possibility that the problems are with the senders, but I would ecpect that more if it were just one gauge. Since all of yours have problems, I would sure suspect connections at the cluster.
Look for some screws right in from the drivers position.
The book also mentions high resistance in wire connections there for innaccurate gauges.

Stay after it, and remember...You CAN do it.
