Chevrolet Repair: Fuel pump, oil pressure switch, tank van

hi
here goes i have a 98 pickup 1500 gas 5.7 i went to start it one day and it wouldn't start didn't hear fuel pump running so i let it sit till the next day and bought a relay that didn't help so i put old one back in. that night i tryed it it started and worked fine for 4 days with no problem now its dead again could it be a electrical problem or is it hooked up to a pressure switch thanks in advance for any help

Hi Mike,
No pressure switch that I know of that would keep it from working.
There is an oil pressure switch that puts battery power to the fuel pump as long as there is oil pressure.
Sounds like a fuel pump, or wire connection to me.
Check the ground wire where it bolts to the frame near the tank.
