Chrysler Repair: stalling: 00 Sebring convt, crank sensor, sebring convertible

Question
My 2000 Sebring convertible does exactly as did Kathleen's in her 8/2/2007 question, and you recommended a new crank sensor.  Do you know if that solved the problem?

Answer
Hi Joe,
It is difficult to get back to the question log that many years ago. But every car is different. Do you have a fault code readout? The crank sensor code would be 0320 and the cam (distributor) sensor is 0340. If you don't have either I would not invest in those replacememts.
Have you taken a look at the egr valve? If it is dying when you come to a stop, that would be the most likely. Try lubricating the valve stem where it enters the valve body with WD-40. Then move the stem back and forth by means of the slot in the valve stem using the tip of a screwdriver.
