Hi Ed,
It is mounted on the frame rail on the driver side. Remove the air box by the battery and then notice the wires from the fan module which will take you right to it. It is mounted outside the usual power box position so as to help keep it cool. It is a solid state device and these were a matter of recall in the latter 90's for too frequent failure.
