Chrysler Repair: 99 Cirrus brake/turn lights wont work, turn signal switch, chrysler cirrus

Question
1999 Chrysler cirrus brake lights wont work nothing works on the left side, the third brake light does work, the right side the blinker and tail light works  I replaced the bulbs and the fuse already.Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Ben,
On the brake lights (left and right) because the 3rd works, I have to conclude that either a white/tan wire from a splice where the left and right side brake splits off from the 3rd brake is 'open' (which is located just behind the left rear door opening about waist high) or a 6-wire connector located by the left rear lamp housing is disconnected. You could test that white/tan wire on pin 2 of that rear connector to see if it shows 12V compared to ground (any shiny metal body point nearby) when a helper steps on the brake. If it does and the connector is 'together' then either the bulbs are bad on both sides or the ground point for the bulb sockets (black wire just below the trunk opening slightly to the left of center) is loose.
On the tail light on the left it is either the same ground being loose or the black/yellow for that same connector is 'open'.
The left turn lamp has to be the same ground loose, or the light green wire going through the same connector is not showing a flashing 12V when a helper asks for a left turn, in which case we will have to trace that wire back to the dash and to the turn signal switch to find out where it is 'open'.
So start by checking all those possiblities and tell me of progress/unresolved problems and we'll go from there.
