Chrysler Repair: 99 mininvan: power window fused links and vent window, positive temperature coefficient, vent window

Question
Kevin, i have a 1999 Town and country LXI minivan. The front passenger window and the rear passenger vent window will not operate from the driver switch panel. The Passenger window will not operate from the passenger switch.  All other electrical systems work fine. The book states a fused link is in the circuit. (Not fused). Do you know where the fused links are located. Second: Could the problem be with the master switch panel on the drivers door. I removed the panel and there is a large combo switch panel for all the windows. Looks expensive so I thought to start with the fused links. ross

Answer
Hi Ross,
The power windows use 'positive temperature coefficient (9 amp) devices" located in slots 8 and 9 of the fuse box under the dash (there is a row just below the 4 large plugs). I don't know if that is what you believe might be 'links'. Also, check the wiring disconnect on the passenger side, just before the door hinge at the kick panel, could be slightly disconnected so check that as a possible cause. If that doesn't correct it, then let me know and I can tell you how to check out the major switch in the driver door.

PS: Sorry for the delay but I just found your question in the 'pool' to which it had been referred only recently.
