Chrysler Repair: 00 T&C: front blower motor, chrysler town and country, volt ohm meter

Question
I have a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country. When I try to turn on the fan in the front, nothing happens. No defrost, no heat, nothing. When I turn on the back fans, everything works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Adam,
Check fuse 12 in the box under the dash and check fuse 21 in the box under the hood. If both are good, the touch/listen for the front blower motor relay in the box under the hood when a helper turns on the blower, with the key in the run position (engine doesn't need to be running), If ut doesn't click, then substitute another similar relay for it and see if that one clicks. If so, then the blower should run. If not then maybe the switch is bad/blower motor is gone. A little trouble shooting with a volt-ohm meter would be good to do before buying anything other than a fuse.
