Chrysler Repair: 96 Chrysler T & C LXI HVAC, calibration test, blend door actuator

Question
I think you are right on the money that my problem is with the blend door. Wouldn't this account for the AC problem as well as the heater?

Answer
Hi Bob,
Yes, the blend door is involved in controlling the temperature of the outlet air, be it heated or cooled air you are seeking. If you can observe the actuator as you change the temp requext knob to satify yourself that it is or isn't moving then that would be important. The actuator could be binding or not working, or the door itself could be stuck. The reason I didn't focus on that possibility was the apparent successful 'passing' of the calibration test. It nonetheless would be good to take a look at that left hand end of the air box to observe the blend door actuator function.
