Hi Sharon,
The '02 manual I have shows the need to remove the tank. But you could check with Kevin to see what the '07 manual says. I can xerox copy and postal mail you the pages that show how to do both procedures if you need them. Are you sure it is the pump and not the electrical supply to it that is at fault? Perhaps the pump is covered under the original factory warranty and would be replaced for free, if so.
