Chrysler Repair: Code 0401/0403: not repaired, evidentally, egr valve

my car went through the emission tst and the problem is codes p0403 and p0401 i have no clue wht it is i have replaced the egr valve but my chk engine light is still on with the same codes

Hi Crystal,
The problem evidentally is not the valve itself but the electrical part or the vacuum part of the system that is not functioning properly. I would go back to the shop that changed the valve, if a shop did the work, and tell them that they didn't do the job correctly and that they need to check the other parts of the system that tests the valve and operates the valve as the valve itself apparently was not the problem. I believe you should not be charged for replacing the valve but rather the shop should find the real cause and fix it.
If you will tell me the year/model/engine you have I can give whoever is going to try and fix this some ideas.
