Answer
Hi Kyra,
I was wondering if you solved the washer fluid problem, or if you still needed some help?
Use the 'thank/rate' tab below to get back to me if so. And while you are there if you would consider entering a 'yes' where you see the question about a "nomination of me for expert of the month" I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.
I hope you are having a merry Christmas today!

Hi Kyra,
I have to base my advice on the '98 manual which shows that there are two washer motors located in the bottom of the windshield washer fluid bottle. I would open the hood and go to the washer fluid bottle and listen while a helper tries both washers to see whether the motor for the front washers is working or not. If not, then either the motor is bad, the wire from the switch or the switch itself is defective. Both motors are powered by the same fuse so that can't be the problem. To check that the motor is getting power from the switch/wire you would raise the right front wheel, remove the wheel, and then remove the splash shield which constitutes the inner wheel well that conceals the bottle/pumps unit. If it is getting power (dark blue wire, should show 12V), and the brown wire is grounded when the request is made, then the motor is bad. If there is no 12V or no grounding of the wire, then those pathways need to be checked to find out why.  Once the inner splash shield is removed you can service the motor if necessary.
If the motor for the front washer is working then probably the water hose from the pump to outlets at the hood is plugged/disconnected.
