Chrysler Repair: car wont start, cv shaft, vacuum leak

Question
took my car in for cv shaft replacement, was told that I had a vacuum leak where throttle body meets manifold. Would that cause a no start. Engine rotates but won't start. would a bad ground wire somewhere cause it from starting?

Answer
Hi Daris,
Yes, depending upon the engine, year, model such a vacuum leak can cause a no start. It needs to be repaired (tighten bolts/replace gasket, or what) in any case for the economy and function so do that, then see what is next. Lots of other things can cause no start: low fuel pressure, no spark, too. The vacuum leak involves a mal-mixture of fuel/air. Those are the major reasons, but the devil is in the details. When you learn more let me know.
