Chrysler Repair: 1995 INTREPID: grounds for cluster, cable clamp, airbag module

Question
QUESTION: LOCATION OF INSTRUMENT GROUND STRAP.

ANSWER: Hi Rick,
There are two grounds for the instrument cluster. The black plug has a black/light green wire on pin 1 that goes to a splice that then goes to a "clean" ground on the airbag ground at the base (floor) of the center cluster where the airbag module bracket is located. The gray plug has a black wire on pin 3 that goes to the same general area as the first but is a "noisy" ground. So look for the airbag module bracket and find the grounds on it. The module access depends upon whether you have a 5 or a 6 passenger vehicle, so if you have trouble getting to it, send a follow-up telling which one you have.

QUESTION: IT IS A 5 PASSENGER. Is there a ground cable from the steering wheel to ?

Answer
Hi Rick,
The procedure is:
disconnect the -post cable clamp at the battery
remove the ash receiver
remove shifter know fastener and remove shifter knob
remove shifter bezel screw located in ash receiver slot and remove shifter bezel. Disconnect ash receiver wiring if necessary. If you can't see the ground attachment point then remove the module by removing its two screws. When reconnecting the system, always turn the key to the 'run' position before hooking up the battery cable clamp to the battery (at least that is how I interpret the procedure which also mentions using the diagnostic readout box, which is not really practical unless you have one.)
On the steering wheel ground, there is one at the clickspring black/light green which is used in association with the cruise control. It is tied to the airbag module ground after going thru a splice at the insturment panel along with the same color wire from the cluster. The horn switch is grounded by a ring mounted in the column but that appears to be a ground via the column itself which is bolted to the structure of the car.
