How do I stop gas from leaking in the catalytic converters?

I think u have the wrong idea about a converter  if u had GAS leaking from the converter  it would blow up. First of all the converter gets as hot as 1200 degrees and for that much gas to get down that far  and for it to pool up enough inside anything  u would hydro lock your engine any way.
