Chrysler Repair: 2000 cirrus overheating, coolant level, coolant system

Question
2 weeks ago my cirrus overheated and then there was antifreeze under the car.  we added 2 pitchers of water and none leaked out.  took to a repair shop and he put on a new gasket, thermostat and cap and filled with antifreeze.  it hadn't overheated again until today.

Answer
Hi Debbie,
Could you tell where the antifreeze leaked out of the first time? Which gasket was replaced: if it was the thermostat gasket that would be expected, otherwise tell me the name of the gasket. How high did the reading go on the gauge today. Did steam come out of the radiator cap, the overflow bottle, or from some where else on the engine and if so describe where. Did you loose the coolant again and if so from where did it appear to drop on the ground from (which part of the engine, hose, radiator, etc was the source)? What happened when it overheated, did you stop the car and open the hood and what did you see? When it cooled down did you drive it again, add coolant, what happened after that?
Are the cooling fans coming on when the engine temp heads off scale high? Did you happen to check the coolant level in the coolant system under the cap this morning? Was there any coolant in the overflow bottle the last time you checked? Is there any white smoke coming out of the tailpipe when you start your engine in the morning? Does the engine gurgle when it is warming up like there are bubbles moving around inside of cooling system?
There are a great many reasons (a dozen or so) that an engine can overheat, so I need to get all the observational data you can tell me. Is the engine a 2.5L V-6 or ?
Plese write back and tell me all that you can.
