Chrysler Repair: 98 Sebring: limp mode, code 0720, sensor replaced, transmission control module, output shaft

Question
Code PO720  Changed sensor still not shifting

Answer
You might do well to check the wiring from the sensor to the transmission control module. The dark blue/brown wire goes to pin 13 of the trans module and should be continuous to the pin 53 which is the ground for the module when the plug is in place. The signal wire, light green/violet, should have continuity to pin 14 and should have a voltage pulse when the trans output shaft is being driven. Once you have proven those out the trans control module becomes suspect. But before replacing that you might want to let a competent trans mechanic have a look at diagnosing the problem.
