Chrysler Repair: power windows, snail mail, drive cable

Morning I have a 1989 new yorker The window on driver side fell down into door.I can pull it up with pliers.Would I be looking for a rail or cable to connect to the door Can I reuse the clips when I pull the door panel open?Thank you in advance. Ken

Hi Ken,
The glass is driven by a flex-drive "cable" and either it or the connection of it to the glass has failed. I can xerox and snail mail you the description of how to service the unit from the '89 shop manual more easily than to try and type it in without the drawings. So give my a postal mailing address and I'll copy and mail it to you along with the panel trim panel removal instructions. The plastic clips around the edge should be reusable if extracted carefully at time of removal.
