Chrysler Repair: 96 Chrysler Concorde Trunk Lock, chrysler concorde, trunk lid

Hi, My trunk wont open with the remote or the inside button. I had a Christmas tree in there and I think something must have gotten disconnected. I hear it trying to work but it wont open. My key never worked so now I'm locked out of my trunk. What is the best way to get the trunk open. I have mech. ability and will do whatever it takes to get it open so I can repair the mechanism. Thanks for your help.

Hi Steve,
Unfortunately if neither the manual, electrical or the key latch release will work I don't know an alternative. Have you tried to press down on the trunk lid simultaneously while you have a helper try to release the lock? If the tree is pressing up on the lid it might be preventing the latch from releasing due to friction between the latch and the retainer bar. Other than that, you may just have to wait and try it periodically to see if it frees up.
