Chrysler Repair: Under the hood..., wd 40, chry

I actually have two questions. I have a 1996 Chry Concorde.
1. The hood supports are not supporting the hood, the hood falls slowly. I can see how to replace the supports, but is this a job for a two handed above average mechanically inclined person? Can it be done by myself?
2. The light that illuminates under the hood stays illuminating. I can't seem to find the switch. I haven't driven the car in about a week and the battery is weak. I don't want to remove the bulb because of moisture that would get into the socket might cause bigger problems. Where is the switch, and can that be repaired by the same "mechanic" described above?

the suports are easy just suport the hood up when you install new . you can do this your self . as far as the light . the switch should be on the frame in the front or on the ledge in back of the hood toward winshild . when you find it then you will see a push button spray it up with wd 40 and it should start working pete
