Classic/Antique Car Repair: firewall chalk marks, mustang club, inspection stamp

How or where can I find the proper chalk marks on the firewalls and such for a 65 Mustang?

You are to be congratulated for even thinking about this - I also am a stickler for duplicating all the inspection marks and numbers etc. on a car when I restore it.

Unfortunately, I do not know of anywhere these are documented - the only way to be sure about this is to find a known un-restored example and photograph every mark, inspection stamp and number that you can find.    I guess your only source would be in the Mustang club - join them if you haven't and ask around to see where there is a known unmolested original car that you can inspect and photograph.

There might be a Mustang 'restorers guide' that gives this information - if so, someone in the club will know about it.

Thanks for keep them original - there are only a few left now!
