Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1966 Impala alignment, caster camber, star treck

Question
I had done alignments for 15 years, but haven't done any now for at least 10. I now have a 1966 Impala that needs aligned. I know all about caster,camber etc, how to add remove shims etc, but this car also has strut rods, that I know were used for adjusting caster on your older Fords. Are these strut rods used for adjusting caster, and the shims just for camber. Or do you leave the strut rods alone, and adjust camber and caster with shims, like most GM,s were in the 70s?  Thanks, Brad

Answer
Brad;
Well if it has been that long since you have done front end work- you shall now be entering a new world,like star treck
now the car goes on the lift and all 4 wheels are on skids and the computer does all of the work-you type in the make and model and the computer does the rest. add this remove that, etc.
