Classic/Antique Car Repair: 66 Impala drum brakes, drum brakes, wheel cylinder

Question
Greetings sir. How in the world do I remove the front left wheel cylinder nut? I had to buy a new 15/16 deep socket and rachet, I've tried PB Blaster to no avail. I'm trying to replace my brake hardware and the main reason I'm doing so IS the front left wheel cylinder! I even tried removing the whole backing plate in order to do all of this away from the car, but I guees I don't really know how from what I'm looking at. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Figures, somthing so simple turns into a life long battle, I know the feeling all too well.

I wish I had an easy answer for a stuck bolt, most of the time I always say to tighten it first then back it off but if all else fails heat it and beat it, that is if you have torches.

Anyway if it were me I would undo the line, get it out of your way, heat up bolt, tighten a smidge then back it out, just remember when you go to put new one on install the line first or else you'll play hell getting it to line up once cylinder is on.

I wish you luck and no busted knuckles

Mike
