Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1965 Mustang Convertible top, mustang convertible top, drive mechanics

Question
Were could I come across the repair manual you speak of, because I've purchased the Haynes book and a few restoration books that all just dance around the subject of working on the convertible top.  Most of the books either discuss replacing the fabric or hydraulic motor but not working on the metal assembly.

Thank You

Question -
I just purchased a convertible 1965 Ford Mustang and the top needs to be adjusted so the front weather strip sits on the windshield.  Is there an adjusting bolt or something that would allow the top to pull forward about an inch or so?

Thank you
Kevin

Answer -
Kevin,
If you look at the mechanics for the top you will see two adjusting screws near the bottom rear of the drive mechanics. You will need the repair book for this car to align and adjust the top mechanics for the best seal. I don't have  my mustang book anymore, I let someone borrow it several years ago and have yet to get it back! I have another customer that owns a 65 stang and I will ask him if he has a repair book so I can copy the adjustment info for you.

Answer
Kevin,
The stang repair book that I had was a book used at an autobody shop for body and frame repairs. A little shopping around and you may locate the book that I've mentioned. You can also put up a message on the Mustang internet forum to ask if anyone has the adjustment book.
