Dodge Repair: 2009 ram door latch replacement, door latch, ram 1500

QUESTION: How do you replace the door latch in a 2009 ram 1500, it seems to be attached to the plastic and I can't seem to get it loose after unhooking all of the rods and taking the screws out nor can I get the inner door panel off without the feeling that I am going to break something

ANSWER: Hi Chris,
I have the '06 manual on a CD and can copy a couple of pages that show how to remove the trim panel and then the pages that show the removal of the latch. I need to know your email address so tell me that via a follow-up question. But don't use the @ symbol, rather use 'at'. or the address will be automatically erased.

Hi Chris,
I believe the door latch mechanism in your '09 would be similar if not identical to the '06 manual information. So take a look and see if it seems to be the same. I will copy the pages and send them shortly to you.
