Dodge Repair: a/c clutch fan fuse blows, chrysler vans, clutch fan

Question
QUESTION: My A/C Clutch Fan's 20amp Fuse keeps blowing.  I replaced the fuse after changing my battery, but it blew again. Do I have a short? Does it have to do with the old battery going bad?

QUESTION: Thanks, not sure if that is good news or not.  I just drove the van from McDonough, Ga. a few months ago.
Do I have to replace the A/C Clutch if it has a short?  How can I check to see if the A/C Clutch has a short or the wiring has a short?  Last but not least how do i rate your answers?

Answer
unplug the ac compressor turn on the ac  if the short is still there the fuse will blow  if not  more then likely in the clutch itself>
