Dodge Repair: 2000 dodge grand caravan with eng fan relay problem, dodge grand caravan, radiator fan


Question
my car is now with the check engine light on . And i have the scan tool put on to see the problem. It told me that the engine fan relay. So i buy a new relay and replace it. But now it still have the same problem even worst.Because the fan is not even on now, no matter how long i keep the car run, and the fuse is good.And then i went to the trunk yard buy another relay,put it in.Now is the fan always on ,even the car is not run.The car is only has 45000 miles .Please can you tell me how to replace it in the right way to make it work.Thank you.

RADIATOR FAN RELAY
The radiator fan relay is located below the left front headlamp module Radiator Fan Relay The headlamp module must be removed to access the relay.

REMOVAL
Open hood, disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the left side headlamp bulb from the headlamp housing. Refer to LAMPS - Headlamp Bulb Removal and Installation.
Remove the left headlamp module. Refer to LAMPS - Headlamp Module Removal and Installation.
Remove the cover over the relay.
Disconnect the relay connector Radiator Fan Relay
Carefully drill out the two retaining rivets.
Remove relay from vehicle.
