Dodge Repair: 1999 caravan 3.3 ac compressor & drier, ac compressor, drier

my compressor or the clutch went bad it was eating belts & spitting rubber out from around the clutch so, i have removed and am about to install a new compressor, i bought a compressor, drier & oil (PAG46) 8oz's in a kit. i can put it all together. how do i add the oil & can i drive it to a friends to do the vacuum & recharge without damaging anything.

first see how much oil u take out of the oil compressor hold the old on upside down in clear container so u can judge how much to put back into it U dont want o add more then the system can take u will damage more stuff and the new compressor. U can add how much back into it the same way it came out  through one of the 2 holes dont spin the compressor  ti will spit it back out at u. Oh some times the new ones have oil in them as well drain it out to. Basically u want the same if not 1-2 more oz then whats in there now.
