Dodge Repair: 1996 dodge neon overheating, dodge neon, head gasket


Question
my 1996 dodge 2.0 sohc(83k) keeps overheating. we blew the headgasket,several sensors(camshaft sensor,idle pedal posistion senosor, fan sensor, lower rad tube, water pump and thermostat,radiator cap. we have fixed and replaced all these things the car starts and runs great around town. i go to pull a hill the car starts to over heat the temp goes up to 1/4 from the  hot mark and then starts to go to the h where it dings and the car shuts down. look under hood and it is over heating lost where to look next can you help seems to me that there is pressure build up but can not find where it is or what it is thank you

When you did the head gasket did you have the head check for cracks? (manga fluxed).
The neon is know for cracking heads

Also you may want to run the car for a short time with the cap off and see if any compresion bubbles are present. this will tell you if you have a head or gasket problem
